Endeavouring to provide professional veterinary cover to the remote villages of Gujjar Patti, Kadura, Venkari Muslimabaad, Dunawari and Binner, the Army organized a Veterinary Camp at Venkari. A team comprising of Army Veterinary Doctors and Nursing Assistants treated a large number of animals from the neighbouring villages. Long queues of villagers were witnessed at the medicine counter, collecting free medicines for their animals. The veterinary camp was a huge success in which a total of 357 villagers turned up with 92 cows, 23 sheeps, 47 ponies and 13 dogs. Utilizing the occasion, the Army also presented two solar lights, one wheel chair and 10 winter blankets to the villagers. The genuine and heartfelt initiative of the Army was well appreciated by the villagers and the local population. (KNB)
